Indirect Selection Tools
You can use indirect selection tools to make it easier to identify and select headings. The headings that are selected using the indirect selection tools are highlighted red in the 3D Canvas; the headings that are not selected are displayed in black. If the Show only canvas selection icon is selected for the data grid, only the highlighted headings are displayed in the associated data grid.
The indirect selection tools are available in a toolbar at the top of the 3D Canvas.
Indirect selection settings are stored while the scenario remains open. Storing the settings while the scenario is open means you can use the Previous selection and Next selection icons to move between previously created settings.
You can check connections and precedences using the Previous precedence and Next precedence icons. The Previous precedence function allows you to see the headings that must be mined before the currently selected heading. The Next precedence function allows you to see the headings that cannot be mined until after the currently selected heading.
To select only a heading with a particular name in the 3D Canvas, you type the name into the Select by Name field and click the Tick icon at the right of the field, or press ENTER.
Note: You can use wildcards in the Select by Name field to display a group of headings that have the same name prefix or suffix.
If you want to select all headings in your design, you can click the Select all icon. If you want to remove the selection from all headings in your design, you can click the Select none icon.
